David Harbour isn’t the Santa Claus we expected in the trailer for Universal Pictures’ action-comedy Violent Night — but he’s the Santa we needed.
When a team of bad guys break into a wealthy family’s home on Christmas Eve and take everyone hostage in order to get their hands on $300 million, no one is expecting Santa Claus himself to step forward as a vigilante crime-fighting hero. But it turns out, Harbour’s Santa Claus doesn’t just have a taste for milk and cookies — he also craves justice.
From director Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Violent Night also stars Emmy winner John Leguizamo (The Menu), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation).
